Most people like humour and if this is Incorporated into an advertisement it is going to grab their attention. Even though there are serious adverts around, its good to break from that and make people enjoy watching humorous ones By having a funny advert, they'll remember it, it will stick in their head and they ll want tog o and tell somebody about it. An exmaple of a humourous advertisement that i have found is the 'Cravendale - Ctas with Thumbs'.
I really like this advert, the first time i saw it in thoguht it was hilarious. I like the way it uses cats as the main focus point for the humou, because we all know cats dont have thumbs, and that is what makes it funny. The story of the advert is the cats being able to function more better if they had thumbs, and it is the actions of the cats when there doing human things, that humours the audience. I think the target audience for this would be young boys and girls and also parents between 20-35. Because it is milk i think this would appeal to parents becasue they would want their children to get the calcium they need, and Cravendale advertise this as a very good milk to have in your household for the family. Children will like this becasue of the cats. Most kids love animals so adding the act element to it draws a differne type of auidence to it.
